- Understand other people's emotions
- Express your emotions in the right way for the situation
- Take the perspectives of other people, including people who are very
different from you - Because we like what is most familiar to us, learn to open minded to
viewpoints that are different - Catch prejudice and stop it
- Figure out what's going on in a situation so you can help
- Communicate well in different ways and settings and with different
people - Care for others
- Become multiculturally skilled
The 4 Component Model
- Ethical Sensitivity - Evidence of concern for others and awareness of the consequences of one's actions.
- Ethical Judgment - Shows characters deliberating about ethical choices.
- Ethical Focus - Addresses the ethical demand in the situation, prioritizing moral goals and responsibilities over selfish interests.
- Ethical Action - Has a character who takes several steps to reach a moral goal and perseveres to complete the ethical action.
