The Rating Ethical Content System (RECS) focuses on the positive messages provided in films, shows, stories and books. RECS is a tool for parents and teachers to select developmentally appropriate materials for children’s developmental needs. RECS is being used to rate children’s books, children’s television shows, and movies.
